Assistance League of Indianapolis Announces

2011 Star Award Recipients

Assistance League of Indianapolis is proud to recognize the ogoing support from the PeyBack Foundation and digitalKnowledge by awarding them the 2011 Star Award at the Star Gala on Saturday, April 9, 2011.
PeyBack Foundation

The PeyBack Foundation has provided ongoing financial support for the Operation School Bell program since 2001.  During this time, the PeyBack Foundation has awarded to Assistance League ten individual grants totaling $59,500 to help purchase the clothing, shoes and supplies that are given to the elementary students in Marion County that are served by the Operation School Bell program.  In addition the foundation has helped in our fundraising effort by donating auction items for the Star Gala.

This sustained support from the PeyBack Foundation has allowed us to continually expand the Operation School Bell program. Without the ongoing support of generous grantors like the PeyBack Foundation this growth would not have been possible.  Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Peyton Manning established the PeyBack Foundation in 1999 to promote the future success of disadvantaged youth by assisting programs that provide leadership and growth opportunities for children at risk.

digitalKnowledge

Since 2003 digitalKnowledge has consistently supported our fundraising efforts with financial donation as a sponsor for the annual Star Gala.  In 2009, their support of Assistance League went beyond its monetary contributions by providing a significant in-kind donation of the time and talents of several of their employees to advise and assist in the re-launch of our chapter website. The need for a technically advanced, user friendly website was critical in today’s business environment where electronic and social media are key marketing tools. The team from digitalKnowledge spent many hours in design work and in training our members to manage the new website. digitalKnowledge also paid for all expenses for the new platform and the initial expenses of the new server.  The new platform has allowed us to feature our chapter video, video pods of programs and events, and to include links to local media websites when they feature a news story about Assistance League.  Our new website has helped us gain recognition in the community and has become the key “go to source” for information about Assistance League of Indianapolis for many donors and new members.
