Reading Buddies

Empowering children to succeed
ALI Reading Buddies volunteers visit 13 first and second grade classes in the MSD of Washington Township to share an interactive, engaging read-aloud story with students for six consecutive weeks during the fall and spring semesters. After the six read-aloud experiences, volunteers return in the seventh week to conduct a book giveaway, where every participating student selects a book from a wide variety of titles to take home. In addition, every participating classroom receives a complete set of the read-aloud books for its library. |
