Assault Survivor Kits |
What We Do Each Assault Survivor Kit contains a sweat suit, socks and briefs for either a woman, man, or child. Additional undergarments and t-shirts are also provided separately, along with hygiene items. The program serves 13 hospitals and agencies in the greater Indianapolis area. |
How It's Done Assistance League members assemble the kits and deliver them to area hospitals and centers that treat victims of rape or assault. Before leaving the hospital, the victim must relinquish personal clothing for evidence. We are the only nonprofit group in the Indianapolis area that provides clothing to victims of this kind of crime, who would otherwise go home in a hospital gown. |
Support Us Since the Assault Survivor Kit program began in 1994, Assistance League has given 11,800 kits and 14,500 undergarments to victims of sexual assault. Knowing that someone cares enough to meet their immediate needs, helps give victims the courage to move on. For as little as a $12 donation, you can provide a sweatsuit and undergarments for an assault or rape victim. |
