To Become A Member
We invite new members twice a year in September and March. Most women begin by attending an informational coffee where they meet the officers and hear an overview of the organization. Each group that joins attends two half-days of orientation. In addition, the group takes a half-day "field trip" to the Operation School Bell® shop for training. Member dues for the Voting category are $65.00 per year, and Non- voting are $115 per year. There is an additional $15.00 orientation fee. Chapter meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of the month August through May. Meetings begin at 9:30 am and are usually over at 11:30 am. Many members stay for lunch following the meeting. Most of those meetings are held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church 100 W 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN. Voting members are expected to attend at least five of the nine regular meetings. Our member volunteers participate in the administrative tasks of the chapter, staff our philanthropic programs, and manage our fundraising activities/events. If physically able, members are asked to work a minimum of seven shifts “as a shopper” at Operation School Bell. Last year 25,484 service hours were donated by members.
